Waterfowl Bioblitz with Joe

10:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Come ready with the iNaturalist app for a waterfowl ID blitz. This blitz helps the Sanctuary to identify bird populations, previously unknown bird species, and track migration patterns. This program is great for beginners and advanced birders. Make sure to join our projects on iNaturalist and you could win some great prizes. Please bring binoculars and dress for the weather. Meet at the Nature Center building. (Pre-registration encouraged but not required.)

Come help us remove invasive species and restore the park!

Invasive Plant Removal with Joe
Sat, February 5

1:00-3:00 PM

Help us remove invasive species plants and begin the restoration of native habitats in the Sanctuary. Tools and equipment are provided. Focus species include linden viburnum, Siebold’s viburnum, Chinese fountaingrass, knotweed and mile-a-minute. Qualifies for service credit hours. Please bring work gloves, if you have them. Meet at the Nature Center building. (Pre-registration encouraged but not required.)
