GATE UPDATE:
We have been informed that our first gate is working! Remember, this is the far left lane at Playland’s main entrance tollbooths.
Our second gate, the one by Dragon Coaster still does not work. Playland plans to leave this gate open until a repair can be made (likely after summer).
Do not enter the parking lot through the bus entrance. For a reminder on how to use your card and enter the sanctuary, see the video on our visit page: https://frws.wavecm.com/visit/
RULES:
We know it’s not fun to follow rules, but we have to enforce them to keep our hidden jewel the sanctuary that it is for all creatures (including your fellow human!). We appreciate your cooperation!
Please…
- No dogs anywhere within our gates
- No bikes on our trails
- No fishing from our beach or in the lake
- No visiting after dark. The sanctuary is open from dawn to dusk.
Here is a full list of the Sanctuary Rules and some reasoning behind them.

John R. Wright Art Show – Last Chance!
If you haven’t stopped in the visitor center recently, come on in and check out the wonderful artwork created by John R. Wright. Display ends June 24. Don’t let my poor photography skills stop you. The pieces are gorgeous – and they’re for sale!
