Invasive Plant Removal with Joe

Come help us remove invasive species and restore the park!
Help us remove invasive species plants and begin the restoration of native habitats in the Sanctuary. Tools and equipment are provided. Focus species include linden viburnum, Siebold’s viburnum, Chinese fountaingrass, knotweed and mile-a-minute. Qualifies for service credit hours. Please bring work gloves. Meet at the Nature Center building.

Come see the first spring migrators return to the park
We will seek out some of the earlier warbler migrants, as well as staying in tune with the backyard and aquatic birds. Please bring binoculars. Meet at the Nature Center building. Dress for the weather.

Back by popular demand! We will learn the needs of these creatures that constantly struggle for nesting habitats. All materials will be provided to make a box. Participants must register by March 28, 2022. Limit one bluebird box per household to take home.
