Saturday at the Sanctuary – Invasives R Us

1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

Invasives:  For those who have visited Read Sanctuary before, the awareness of the presence of invasive plants is known. Learn removal techniques and identification of these problematic plants. All tools and hand gloves will be provided.

If your children want to spend time at Edith Read this summer, get ready!  Registration for the Nature Camps is open!

Our Second Art Exhibit for Read Sanctuary is On Display!

Come and view our members’ talents and love for wildlife through artwork. Exhibit will be on display through March 23rd, 2024.

Backyard Bird Bonanza- Make n’ Take Bluebird Nesting Boxes

It’s back again! We will learn the needs of these creatures that constantly struggle for nesting habitat. All materials will be provided to make a box. Participants must register by February 25, 2024. Registration can be done by the following: sqw2@westchestercountyny.gov or by phone at 914-967-8720.  Limit one Bluebird box per household to take home.
