Friends of Read Annual Meeting

The Friends of Read Wildlife Sanctuary will be holding its Annual Meeting at 11am. We will discuss how the year has progressed. A complimentary lunch will follow. Meeting will be held in the Visitor Center.
All Creatures Small, All Trees Tall
Saturday, October 19
1:00 pm – 2:30 pm
As Autumn becomes in full swing, we will see the change of the guard through the tree leaves and their surroundings. Come learn the secrets of the seasons. Hand lenses will be provided.

Day of the Living Shoreline
Saturday, October 26
1:00 pm – 2:30 pm
Come take a tour of a very cool project occurring, involving the creation of a living reef. We will observe structures, planting sites and sandy substrates. If you’ve been wondering about what’s happening in the field and beach, this is your chance to learn and ask questions!
